Lots of great things are happening at LUCKY MADISON! We will be releasing the first full length from QUIET COUNTRIES entitled "No One Makes A Sound" LM034! The album was recorded over the past year plus, and features the musical nuances of QC'r Leb Borgerson. The album will be released in the US and Canada on February 14th, 2006. Oh yeah, here's a peek at the cover.

The showcase will feature ALAN SINGLEY, MODERNSTATE, DYKERITZ HEROES and VILLAINS, and Liam from the Snuggle Ups' new project POCKET PARADE.

The PRA is hosting its 3rd annual benefit show at holocene. Starting things off at 6pm are PRA's own dj's spinning every half hour. Then Starting at 9pm a special live performance by DJ TAN'T, ALAN SINGLEY and the PANTS MACHINE, SLEEPYHEAD, PJWA, COPY, STRENGTH. Come and dance your ass off and support the PRA at the same time. That's this Friday Sept 2nd at Holocene.

The festival will be taking place at LOVELAND in beautiful Portland ORY-GUN, and will be led off and finished both by lucky madison bands, we are proud, sigh. Go Leb! ...TALKDEMONIC are getting ready to head out on a national tour in September alongside NYC's THE NATIONAL, and CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH. They will also be playing the CMJ MUSICFEST 2005 and releasing their second record beat romantic on ARRCO in January 2006....SAM of MODERNSTATE is currently on tour with his other band ...worms, but will be back soon and sharpening up to play PDX POP 2005, on AUG 5-7th...DYKERITZ has been charming all listeners with their summer hit debut purple switzerland....YOU can basically see the entire LM roster for FREE this August 5th-7th at the PDX POP FESTIVAL 2005 being held at Loveland in Portland, and its all ages. Lucky Madison Records, in cooperation with Curve Magazine and benefiting the Rock & Roll Camp for Girls, is pleased to announce it's first label showcase featuring 14of Portland's finest up-and-coming musical artists.

Urban Grind Coffeehouse {click here for map} and Loveland will host the three-day, all-ages music festival beginning at 4:00 PM and ending by 9:00 PM every day. The benefit will continue at Holocene on Sunday night with a show being put on by Curve Magazine.

Admission to the festival will be $7.00, which will purchase a bracelet good for all three days. Bracelets will be provided at the door upon entry. Show admission without a bracelet will be $5.00 per day.

So here's your schedule for the weekend....Starting on Friday Mar 11th at 8pm, you must head out to the Back to Back Cafe on Burnside and 6th for ALAN SINGLEY'S CD RELEASE SHOW for Audio Bicyclette. After being graced with the magic that is Alan, head over to Holocene for THE SNUGGLE UPS who are playing late, and with some other bands we all like such as Portland General Electro and Strength. After spending a bunch of time in the smoking room talking to nice girls, then go home and sleep. Wake up. Have a bloody mary, enjoy the perpetual pdx sunshine, and then head out to the DOUGFIR to see TALKDEMONIC with Yacht and Tracker at 9pm. Thats this Sat nite, Mar 12th man, we update this site all the time now, no more slackin'. There's your luckymadison weekend!

QUIET COUNTRIES is hard-at-work recording his new full-length album entitled No One Makes A Sound. The word on the street is that the new tracks are incredible. QC are also slated to release a split 7-inch with the talented mc known as AED.. TALKDEMONIC is also plugging away at mixing and finishing up their second album beat romantic to be released in August 2005 on Arena Rock. We're hoping that it makes its way onto virgin LM wax. We'll see... ALAN SINGLEY is hosting his album release show for audio bicyclette at the Back to Back Cafe on March 11th. His new album will be available shortly, right here. It is amazing, trust us. On saturday night 2/26, Modernstate is playing a show at the PSU Cinemas at 8pm with Invisible. Head down for the show. The quadraphonic drum experience with Viva Voce was super badass, we were even joined by Mike of Wet Confetti as well. Good times.

This past weekend, Talkdemonic was invited to play a show in Seattle with Subtle (dose one and jel of anticon)at the chop suey. The show was a massive success and a super good time. Make sure you head out to the Alan Singley show at 7pm tonite at the Back to Back Cafe(where you will be able to buy his new album, the fantastic Audio Bicyclette, and then the Modernstate/Viva Voce show tonite @ holocene. Word is that, Danna from Menomena, Sam from Modernstate, and Kevin from Talkdemonic will be joining Viva Voce on a couple songs for a drum-off.

Modernstate has released a split cassestte single with his alter-ego half-brother Humans. The tapes can be purchased at Ozone Records Eastside (7th & E. Burnside) and oh wait, they're free. The tape also includes the masturbation speech heard at the last MS show at the dougfir. The artwork is all hand-scribbled by Sam himself, and taped over previously owned cassette singles. If you ask me, these are two of the best songs that MS has ever done.
